Body Writers Somatic Writing Circle

It can feel daunting to connect with your body and heal what it holds. So let's start by giving your body a voice and in so doing, rekindle your creative spirit inside this weekly circle.

In this circle, you'll write what your body holds.

You'll be invited to turn inward and put pen across page, writing to prompts taken from song lyrics.

It's healing and deliciously self-connective, I promise.

We begin each circle with a read aloud of our Rules for Writing - easy to follow guidelines so you'll know how to access and write what your body longs to say.

Then we'll do a timed write, after which you have the opportunity to share about your experience and read your words aloud.

Note: You are never required to share your writing, although doing so is powerful. It's medicinal (and addictive) and brings deep beautiful shifts inside you that you will be able to feel.

You long to give your body a voice.

You want to feel love and connection with your body and you want to find them through a writing practice.

It feels like something that can bring you joy and deep healing. In fact you know it can. You used to write a lot, before things happened. Now...

  • You don't know how to get back to your creative self
  • You wonder if your voice is worth anything, and it all feels very outside of you
  • Connecting with your body feels intimidating as hell. You want to, but you're scared to voice what it holds
  • You need some inspiration. You don't know how to make your writing practice feel productive and joyful
  • You want a writing community but you're sensitive and feel things deeply; you're not comfortable just anywhere

So you keep putting it off. And keep feeling disconnected from your creative body.

Because in your heart you're a writer. Your experience lives in your body and not writing it keeps you separate from yourself.

It keeps eating at you, making you feel apart from yourself, likely making any conditions you live with worse because highly sensitive bodies don't hold trapped emotions / unexpressed feelings very well without consequences. You just keep longing to drop in and express what you hold.

I'm Jennifer. I'm an author, writer and Certified Somatic Writing Coach. I help sensitive womxn resolve somatic trauma and come home to their bodies by writing what their bodies hold. 

I'm sensitive, intense and passionate about honoring what our bodies have been through and what they hold.  I know that writing our stories and feeling our feelings is what makes it possible to live peacefully and lovingly in our bodies.

My work weaves together self-exploration, writing and giving your body a voice, and I have a gift for giving prompts that guide you into the writing that will make the difference for you.
