Dangerous Writing: How It Always Winds Up Feeling More Beautiful Than Dangerous

Dangerous Writing Write To Heal Workshop Jennifer Arnspiger

In anticipation of my upcoming Dangerous Writing workshop, I've been reflecting on something:

I know it's going to be a beautiful experience for everyone who joins me but to be honest, I've been having an incredibly beautiful experience preparing for it.

With the Lion's Gate portal on Friday and the full moon yesterday, the energy for my sign has been "electrifying my energy field with truth, clarity and soul direction."

And I have been feeling that.

It's not a coincidence that I'm finally ready to share this workshop with you now – because it represents both my origin story and soul direction.

The Dangerous Writing workshop I attended in 2007 was formative for me.

In preparation for holding my own, I've been reading old interviews of Tom, remembering his quiet presence and fierce encouragement to be brave on our pages.

And then remembering this, one of my favorite things a client has ever said about me:

💐 → "Jennifer has a gentle but fierce strength and lovingly holds space while you excavate your depths, offering caring reassurance. She holds a light for you and helps you realize it's your light. The light you thought for sure had died out and she's standing there at the end of the tunnel saying, "See? Isn't it beautiful?" (thank you Jessica M.)

I remember how this workshop felt like freedom – like I was allowed to write honestly about a place inside me that hurt, the way the workshop held me and Tom guided me to make that writing beautiful. and by beautiful I mean: he helped me make a moment of my story live on my page the way it lived in my body.

I felt so free after that workshop.

So healed of what I wrote about.

I felt seen and so inspired that there were other people in the world who wanted to do that: go where it hurt and write honestly about that place and hold each other with compassion and make the writing beautiful in its vulnerability and celebrate each other for doing so.

It made me want to do this (what I do now) for a living. 🥹

If going where it hurts, writing honestly about that place, being held with compassion and learning to make your writing beautiful in its vulnerability sounds like a dream to you too...

You do not want to miss my upcoming four-day Dangerous Writing workshop. 💓

August 30th & 31st and September 6th & 7th, starting at noon pacific time; mark your calendar. There are eight spots available and doors open Tuesday, August 12th.

p.s. Here's what students who write with me say about me:

💐 → "I appreciate the way Jennifer brings such gentleness and sensitivity to our space, and holds us all so carefully and lovingly. She provides such a warm, sensitive, safe space for writers to write, share, give and receive feedback – plus she brings awareness to our somatic reactions. The trust she instills invites us to dig deep, share openly, give generously and receive wholeheartedly." (Anne H.)

💐 → "Jennifer is a beast of badassery and beauty. There is a delicate yet indestructible spirit about her. Her energy feels like home. Everyone leaves better for knowing her and being in her energy." (Nikki J.)

💐 → "Jennifer is a beautiful space holder. Not only knowledgeable and humble but also professional and helpful. It's a gorgeous blend to have both sides in a guide." (Jenna H.)

💐 → "Jennifer was born to do this work. She is, in the most compassionate and heartfelt way, guiding us all back to ourselves. She is kind. She is authentic. She is funny. She is the darkest of the dark and the brightest of lights and celebrates writing with no holds barred. I feel so lucky to have found her." "(Jane M.)
